Update to AgilePoker

After AgilePoker went live in the app store, I haven’t done any development at all until last night when I managed about 1 hour in front of the computer. So I made a few very minor changes to AgilePoker. I had posted a message on 2 Agile discussion forums asking for people to try it out and provide feedback, of which most has been positive. The Negative has not been against AgilePoker directly, but the whole idea of using an iPhone/iPod Touch instead of a normal deck of planning poker cards.

I was given a suggestion of having the device play a sound when the user had made their selection so that other members of the meeting will know when the user is ready to show their estimate. I shall implement this shortly.

In the meantime I have added an infinity card, and made a small change that prevents the device from locking the screen when a card is being displayed. This way if the process is delayed, the user doesn’t end up showing a blank screen to everyone. The idle timer is only active on the deck view.

I am contemplating submitting this to the app store, although I might just hang on until I get round to implementing the sound feature. At least I’m doing something, development on ScrumMaster (yes, another name change) has stopped.

I think its mainly due to the stress of buying a new car. I hate buying cars, and I now really miss my old car Sad My new motor is rather nice though.
